All the great things are simple, and many can be expressed in a single word: freedom, justice, honor, duty, mercy, hope.

"The kind of beauty I want is the hard-to-get kind that comes from within- strength, courage, dignity."

-Ruby Dee
"Beauty comes from a life well lived. If you've lived well, your smile lines are in the right places, and your frown lines aren't too bad."

-Jennifer Gardner
"Inspiration does exsist, but it must find you working."

-Pablo Picasso
"If you are out to describe the truth, leave elegance to the tailor."

-Albert Einstein
"Be thankful for what you have; you'll end up having more. If you concentrate on what you don't have, you will never, ever have enough."

-Oprah Winfrey
Walk towards the sunshine, and the shadows will fall behind you.
Happiness is a habit- cultivate it.

'You did what you knew how to do. And when you knew better, you did better.'

Our home is a nurturing nest where I can learn all of the important things I will need to know when I am grown up and have to "fly" on my own, with my own wings. When it comes time to let me test my wings without you, and at times I will crash and burn. Remember that learning to fly on my own is another way to love me.
When You Thought I Wasn't Looking

When you thought I wasn't looking, I saw you hang my first painting on the refrigerator, and I wanted to paint another one.

When you thought I wasn't looking, I saw you feed a stray cat, and thought it was good to be kind to animals.

When you thought I wasn't looking. I saw you make my favorite cake just for me, and I knew that little things are special things.

When you thought I wasn't looking, I heard you say a prayer, and I believed there is a God I could always talk to.

When you thought I wasn't looking, I felt you kiss me good night, and I felt loved.

When you thought I wasn't looking, I saw tears come from your eyes, and I learned that sometimes things hurt, but it's alright to cry.

When you thought I wasn't looking, I saw that you cared and I wanted to be everything that I could be

When you thought I wasn't looking, I looked...and wanted to say thanks for all the things I saw when you thought I wasn't looking.
If I live in a house of spotless beauty with everything in its place, but have not love, I am a housekeeper-not a HOMEmaker.

If I have time for waxing , polishing, and deorative acheivements, but have not love, my children learn of cleanliness, not Godliness.

Love leaves the dust in search of a child's laugh.

Love smiles at the tiny fingerprints on a newly cleaned window.

Love wipes away tears before it wipes up the spilled milk.

Love picks up the child before it picks up the toys.

Love is present through the trials.

Love reprimands, reproves, and is responsive.

Love crawls with the baby, walks with the toddler, runs with the child, then stands aside to let the youth walk into adulthood.

As a parent there is much I must teach my child, but the greatest of all is LOVE!!!

"Find Joy in the Journey"
President Thomas S. Monson
"Believe, when you are most unhappy, that there is something for you to do in the world. So long as you can sweeten another's pain, life is not in vain."
Helen Keller
Live your life in such a way
That when your feet
hit the Floor in the morning
Satan shudders and says,
'Oh, crap...she's awake!'

"Your toddler will do what they need to do, and not necessarily what you say. If you're patient, then they will be patient. If you speak gently, then they will be gentle. Whatever you want them to be, you have to start becoming." -Helen Hunt

I love John Mayer and this song he wrote. It reminds me to say something even if it might be hard this way we never regret saying nothing!

SAY

Take out of your wasted honor
Every little past frustration
Take all your so called problems
Better put them in quotations

Say what you need to say

Walkin' like a one man army
Fightin' wiht the shadows in your head
Livin' up the same old moment
Knowin' you'd be better off instead
If you could only

Say what you need to say

Have no fear for givin' in
Have no fear for givin' over
You better know that in the end
It's bette to say too much
Than never to say what you need to say again

Say what you need to say

Even if your hands are shakin'
And your faith is broken
Even as the eyes are closin'
Do it with a heart wide open
A wide heart

Say what you need to say
